guitar practice dvd
how difficult it is and how long it takes to learn the guitar in adulthood?

Im totally in love with music, especially rock and metal. I really want to learn to play guitar. I am 24 years old. I tried once when I was 23 and took classes from May to December and have learned all the cords and rope. Not much. (my guitar teacher was forgotten and he said the same things over and over again). I try again and get a DVD or something, and learn for myself, but it is harder for an adult to learn an instrument? How long to get very good if practiced every night?. Too. My Super sweet guitar teacher told me I had fat fingers and that would be harder. Well get your fingers around twice the size of mine and to prove to me that its feasible, even with fat fingers.

How long it takes depends on many things that no one can answer here, but if you practice hard and have all the talent natural, must be able to get some decent sounds going very fast. It takes time for the fingertip to get used to the ropes, but in a month, you should be able playing some songs and having some knowledge of the instrument.

Can you use a Rock Band drum set with the Guitar Hero game (for wii)?

I would like to know if I can use Rock Band drums with the Guitar Hero game on wii. It is VERY hard to find Guitar Hero drums by themselves without the game OR the guitar.

I asked someone at Best Buy this same question, and he said there aren’t any drums besides the ones that come with the full Guitar Hero World Tour set that will work with it.

Figerpicking on guitar?

I play guitar for a while, but I looked fingerpicking today. I wondered if I had to get used soon to use all my fingers of my hand instead of choosing what my guitar Dummies book recommended that dont use your little finger. I do not want to start any bad habits before is too late. And so, I wonder what is served with a base note in a chord / scale. Thanks

Justin, classical guitar is not always used right little finger to pull the strings. The reason is that the little finger is much shorter than the other fingers do not align well with the other three fingers on the strings. By Therefore, if the Pinkie is included in the collection, the hand is in an awkward squat reading and fatigue quickly. Furthermore, the same intensity (regularly) collection is difficult. Since Western music is triadic in nature (the chains of three or more notes) the lack of the little finger is not a loss. The thumb plays bass notes regularly and the other three fingers play the treble notes … works quite well in practice. It is true that flamenco guitarists can use a finger to boot, but his playing style is very different from the classical guitar and strums depends heavily on human resources for rhythmic effects. If you want a good start with finger-style game, I recommend the following book: "You Can Teach Yourself Classic Guitar" Will the Bay. (A publication of Mel Bay for fifteen dollars to your local music store nearby). Good luck to you in this effort worthwhile. Cliff E. (classical guitarist)

metal guitar tab books
how to should i start learn electric guitar?

i looked through a simple book and thats it. i dont wanna learn by tab music and actually be able to read. what are the benefits of real sheet music and tab music?

is 100 bucks for 1 month and 1 lesson per week work it?

i bought a gibson epiphone SG and i like to play metal but im fine with classical, blues…
BTW how many months should i take? will 1 month work?
BTW how many months should i take? will 1 month work?
since ive played the violin for a long time and can read beats, notes, tempo, and the italian terms like andante, allegro… i know half note whole notes… so i can follow the rythym.

do the lessons. i think it is definitely worth it if your teacher is competent. it is the best way you will learn.
and that way, you’ll learn to read and you will really understand the music.
tab is fine if you just want to figure out how to play a song, but you won’t really know what you are doing (if that is all you read.)

i definitely recommend learning to read sheet music even if you don’t take the lessons. you will be a MUCH better musician for it.

i take lessons once a week and i think that it is about 75 dollars each month.
