Please help resolve disputes guitar worth?
Ok, so I'm aa little conflict on the value and condition a guitar I bought online. This is an Epiphone SG-G400 (Retail $ 300 on musicians friends) has been classified in near perfect condition. However, when I received it, here are the things I find wrong with that: not all 1.bridge collection 2. Rocker switch shorts in the middle position, causing d'arrêter Be guided to play through the amplifier. 4. Crack (not too deep yet, but more than one inch long) in the body near the cervix 5. Several blows to the back scratches Be guided many more 6. Finishing wood chips presentations at two locations (one of them, the wood is cut) 7. Strap holders completely absent 8. Incorrectly Held at the neck with a disc. Styles ….) fix a house with this in mind, how would you rate the condition (poor, fair, good, etc and you want to appreciate their value. Thank you.
It's been awhile since I connected with the martial instrument retail, but based on the margin Epiphone model was then used in near mint Order would be approximately 50% of suggested retail prices. From general observation, I think most companies have reduced the gap between its price and the MSRP, but in reality we are probably still talking $ 170 – $ 200 for near perfect condition. And it's not near mint. Problems mail will probably not something that would be too terrible to repair, but is probably a bit of time (and if you pay for it, that probably would be $ 50). Crack is more disturbing … if this is really the body and is not limited to painting, this can be very bad! Even if repaired, would result in a significant devaluation. The bumps and scratches can be very normal … but it is certainly "Near Mint." If they are right in front of the instrument, you probably could still be represented as good or very good (although the commentary Next on the exposed wood that could bring down). The lack Pins strap hit another $ 10 (gross cost for new). And finally, neck? I really can not imagine what that means (it's a bolt on the use of washing machines instead of a plate of neck?). If this still properly secure the neck, then is at best an additional reduction of the overall quality of the camera. At worst, it may not work properly and can cause neck problems. As to what actually worth it? If the body is not cracked, and the neck and body are in good shape and decent wood, I think there's probably another $ 100-120 value there, although personally I would put more into it than that. If the body is cracked and / or there are real problems with the neck arising from attachment, then much less. From what you say, I would describe the condition fair; potentially poor depending on the severity of certain things.
