wavelengths and the frequency of an electric guitar?
for the science fair, I am doing a project comparing the wavelengths and frequencies on the basis of a gearbox. my question is, is a kind of program you can download free this measure? And I have a guitar tuner and the top left that says something like 400 Hz Hertz I know the unit for either wavelength or frequency, it is possible that my receiver can do? It was only $ 20 …. thanks for any help!
When the tuner said that 400 Hz is the frequency. That's all. You've got it. Now, to convert wavelengths lambda * F = C where f is frequency in Hz, C is the velocity of sound in length per second and Lambda is the wavelength of speed regardless of the length it used per second to C. So look up the speed of sound in feet per second and use it to C. Say So the wavelength obtained in the foot, if it solves the lambda.
